2025 Evaluation of Aid Review

The EBA Aid Review 2025

The world around us has become more dangerous and more polarised this year, and we have seen refugee numbers increase. Crises and wars, such as Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, have deteriorated further. Added to this are challenges such as the climate crisis, humanitarian crises, democratic backsliding in many countries, massive refugee flows and continued widespread poverty. At the same time as all these challenges lead to high aid needs in the world, global aid has decreased.

The EBA Aid Review 2025 The EBA Aid Review 2025 summarises the knowledge, lessons and conclusions from our activities in 2024 in an accessible, short format. Over the past year, the EBA has added 10 more reports to the knowledge base, in areas such as aid transparency, the government’s reform agenda, the long-term impact of development aid, the opportunities and challenges of health aid in a new era, the “localisation” of humanitarian aid, and Sida’s work on anti-corruption. The annual report provides a brief summary of these and additional knowledge bases.

The EBA Aid Review 2025 is available in two different formats: as a pdf and as a printed magazine. Both formats are available in Swedish and English.

If you would like to order the report as a printed magazine, please email your order to ud.eba@gov.se
