Sara Gehlin is a post-doctoral researcher in theology. Her current research project Women and Peace: Vision and Reality at the Intersection of Peace – and Feminist Theology concerns the impact of Resolution 1325 in contemporary inter-confessional dialogue. This project is carried out partly by the Church of Sweden Research Unit, partly at the Centre of Excellence “Reason and Religious Recognition” at the Theological Faculty of Helsinki University. In 2016 she defended her doctoral thesis Prospects for Thelogy in Peacebuilding: A Theological Analysis of the Just Peace Concept in the Textual Process towards an International Ecumenical Peace Declaration, World Council of Churches 2008- 2011 at the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies, Lund University.
