Synergies for climate finance

This study is about exploring the possibility for Swedish public finance institutions to better collaborate for increased climate benefit. The proposal focuses on Swedfund, Sida, Swedish Export Credit Agency (SEK) and the Export Credit Board (EKN).

The project aims to identify potential synergies and learnings that can develop cooperation between the four institutions. This will be done by comparing the four organizations, and their climate finance, with similar institutions in nine European countries. The study will analyze the organizations’ mandates, climate policies and project portfolios to assess their climate impact and identify areas for improvement and cooperation. Ultimately, the project aims to provide recommendations to inform Sweden’s development policy, given the changing international climate finance landscape.
