EBA has commissioned an evaluation of how the Swedish aid portfolio has been adapted to major shifts and changes in the Mozambiquan society over the years.
The objectives in the Swedish development cooperation strategies with the country have remained surprisingly stable over time. To what extent has focus on these goals been kept, and relevance of the portfolio been upheld, during times of civil war followed by peace, and periods of drastically shifting economic and political situations? How has the coordination with various partners worked?
Given the Swedish government’s decision to end bilateral aid collaboration with Mozambique as per August 31 2026, the evaluators shall also study the exit process.
