According to the World Justice Project index, rule of law is in global decline for the sixth consecutive year. This also means that respect for human rights and the foundations of democracy are put under further threat.
On the occasion of IDLO – International Development Law Organization Director-General Jan Beagle’s visit to Stockholm this week, EBA together with Sida and Utrikesdepartementet organised a roundtable discussion on Rule of Law – Challenges and Opportunities in the Context of Development Cooperation.
The discussion was attended by representatives from IDLO, Sida, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy), Raoul Wallenberg Institute, and ILAC International Legal Assistance Consortium.
