Sveriges stöd till hälsosystembyggande

Strong health systems (HSS) are necessary to achieve target 3.8 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which is about achieving universal health coverage. HSS is a health aid priority for the Swedish government and thus also for Sida, but the results of Sweden’s aid to HSS have not been specifically evaluated. The overall aim of the evaluation is to contribute to a better understanding of effective interventions for HSS. This is done by looking at how Swedish bilateral aid has supported HSS in Bangladesh and Uganda, as well as a portfolio analysis of Swedish HSS grants in six partner countries.
