Watch the seminar below:
Since Sweden declared a feminist foreign policy in 2014, a dozen other countries have followed suit. While Sweden withdrew its policy in 2022, the number of countries pursuing different versions of a feminist foreign policy is clearly on the rise. What can be learnt from the Swedish experience with regard to the steering and implementation of a feminist foreign policy? What are the experiences of other countries pursuing feminist foreign policies? What are the prospects for feminist foreign policies to have an impact on the international arena?
Welcome to a webinar about the EBA report More Than a Label, Less Than a Revolution: Sweden’s Feminist Foreign Policy, exploring the bilateral implementation of Sweden’s feminist foreign policy. The authors will present the main findings of the report, followed by a panel discussion about the implementation of feminist foreign policy with representatives from academia and from two countries currently pursuing feminist foreign policies – Colombia and Canada.
