Linking humanitarian assistance and long term development cooperation in refugee crises. A survey of the literature
This study surveys five approaches (Linking Relief, Rehabilitation and Development, LRRD; Resilience; Whole of Government; Connectedness; Early Recovery) to linking humanitarian assistance and long term development cooperation. Based on this conceptualisation, programme evaluations of refugee crises are surveyed to assess how these approaches have acted to facilitate or hinder successful linkages.
